Our Doctrine

​ "You Must Be Born Again"

 

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. ~ St. John 3:5

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of Spirit is spirit.  ~ St. John 3:6

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.  ~ St. John 3:7

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their hearts, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?  ~ Acts 2:37

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  ~ Acts 2:38

 

 "No Other Name"

 

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.  ~ Acts 4:12

When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.  ~ Acts 19:5

And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues and prophesied.  ~ Acts 19:6

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.  ~ Ephesians 3:14-15

 

"Promise to the Apostles"

 

And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.  ~ Acts 1:4

For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.  ~ Acts 1:5

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.  ~ Acts 2:4

 

 

"The Promise to us Today"

 

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and daughters shall prophesy...."  ~ Acts 2:17

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the lord our God shall call.  ~ Acts 2:39

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, save yourselves from this untoward generation. ~ Acts 2:40

 

 

"A man approved of God"

 

Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;  ~ Romans 1:3

Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne.  ~ Acts 2:30

Ye men of Israel, hear these words Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:  ~ Acts 2:22

 

"Jesus' Baptism"

 

Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.  ~ Matthew 3:13

Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heavens was opened, "And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him..."  ~ Luke 3:21-22

"Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost..."  ~ Acts 2:33

 

"Jesus' Humanity"

 

"All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men...!  ~ I Corinthians 15:39

Hereby know ye the spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.  ~ I John 4:2

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.  ~ I Timothy 2:5

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin.  ~ I Peter 4:1

Though he were a son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;  ~ Hebrews 5:8

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.  ~ Hebrews 4:15
